such belatedness
threatens the will
which in loneliness
diminishes the skill
of subtleness

there is no pain because there is no gain
only a little pause to contemplate his next move
there is no thrill because there is no will
without his power of will to make the next move

a long corridor
of memories insignificant when they were experienced
i wish i had closed my eyes for good
when the cold dark room engulfed me
and i knew nothing of the warmth that protected me
a long ago past

let this end.
it is unsettling
never before caught in such balanced dilemma
let this begin
it is unsettling
never before forced into inactivity

what good will come of it if good be the only thing i want to conceive coming?
i see a black monolith at the end of the corridor
what it is shall only be determined if i walk towards it
but for now
i stare at it
